Confederate forces will be under the overall command of Gen. Joe Way, Cleburne’s Division, and his staff.
All Infantry Brigades and Battalions will fall under the Field Command of Gen. Hunter Poythress.
Battalion level participation is highly recommended. All potential Battalions, please contact Joe Way (jwaynfwb@aol.com) in order to secure recognition for your Battalion at this event. Recognized Battalions will function as such will maintain their individual Battalion Command Structure.
Brigades will be formed at the direction of Gen. Joe Way and Brigade commanders will be assigned. Battalions will be assigned to each Brigade commander under the direction of the overall CS Commander. Battalions will be assigned to Brigades and Brigade commanders who are also campaigner or mainstream. Every effort will be made to ensure that all participating Battalions and Companies are fully pleased with their experience at the end of the event.
Each Brigade and it’s member Battalions will have a specific area set aside for it’s camps. It is imperative that each Battalion commander make known the camping preference for their Battalions to ensure that the proper camp area is assigned and designated. Within the assigned camping areas it will be the responsibility of the Brigade or Battalion to lay out their own camps. Each camp area shall have a designated Headquarters plainly visible to overall command staff to facilitate delivery of appropriate messages from Headquarters. The more organized the command structure of the event the smoother operations will run.
Each camp will also appointed within it’s staff a designated Provost Marshall and Medical Officer who will be clearly known to overall CS Headquarters.
There will be absolutely no digging of sinks within or around the camp areas. Open sewage is a violation of health codes and disrespectful to the property owner. Any unit (Company, Battalion or Brigade) found to have dug a sink will be escorted from the property and banned from participation in the event.
Firewood and bedding straw will be distributed on a system to be finalized at a later date. If you have need in the camps for any of the amenities you do not find present please contact your Battalion command staff so that they may properly pass the request up the command chain. Proper use of firewood and other amenities is greatly appreciated so that there are enough for everyone. Every effort will be made to ensure that we do not run short over the course of the event.
