All Cleburne’s Division rules and guidelines for safety will be adhered to for this event to ensure insurance coverage for the weekend. Safety guidelines in downloadable format for Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery are as follows:
INFANTRY SAFETY REGULATIONS
CAVALRY SAFETY REGULATIONS
ARTILLERY SAFETY REGULATIONS
Safety inspection reports for all weapons and artillery pieces will be conducted daily before each battle with NO EXCEPTIONS. Safety inspection reports will be completed and delivered to Battalion Adjutants immediately prior to battle. Battalion Adjutants will ensure that overall command staff receives safety inspections in proper order previous to battle. NO PERSON SHALL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE BATTLEFIELD WITHOUT PROPER AND THOROUGH WEAPONS INSPECTION. Safety inspection reports in a downloadable form are as follows:
STANDARD WEAPONS INSPECTION FORM
ARTILLERY SAFETY INSPECTION FORM
Any person or artillery piece found to be operating in an unsafe manner will be asked to cease fire and escorted off of the battlefield until the issue can be resolved. Safety over the course of the event weekend is of vital importance and will be strongly enforced.
In the interest of safety and as a result of the incident at a previous reenactment it is strongly encouraged that each unit develop a policy of not using 6 wing percussion caps. This is a common practice already within most units. We do not wish or intend to express an opinion of a derogatory nature in relation to those companies presently making a 6 wing percussion cap. We do however want to ensure a safe event weekend for all of our participants and will do our best to make sure everyone goes home safely on Sunday.
